WINNIPEG PIN COLLECTORS CLUB - ANNUAL BBQ
2008 WPCC Barbecue
The pin club's annual barbecue was held at the home of the Houston family on Lansdowne Avenue, Winnipeg at 6 P. M. on Tuesday, June 10, 2008. After several days of rain, the pin club was blessed with an evening of clear skies and pleasant temperatures. Buns, condiments, hamburgers and smokies were provided by the pin club. There were all kinds of really neat door prizes, a 50/50 draw and a pin draw. Forty-four club members and guests were in attendance. A fun time was had by all.
Many thanks to the Houston family for their wonderful hospitality, Joan and Ron K. for all their help, Gina B. and Bob M. for taking all the photos and Wes P. for doing the slide presentation for the website.
Angie H. was presented with a special certificate of recognition for outstanding service to the pin club by club member Phil G. in which she was given the honorary title of Queen of the WPCC.
The BBQ proved to be a big success due to the Houston family's tireless efforts and dedication. Our special thanks go out to them.
I am looking forward to seeing you all next year.
